Alderwasley Village Hall nestles on the side of a hill overlooking the Derwent Valley and Crich Stand beyond. Thought to be the oldest building used as a village hall in England, this beautiful Ancient Monument and Grade II listed building was totally refurbished in 2010 thanks to Big Lottery funding.
Steeped in history, the hall is the centre of village social and community life, hosting regular groups and special events.

The village hall’s many users enjoy a large and airy space featuring ancient exposed stone, white lime plastered walls, and honeyed oak panels under a beamed ceiling, all brought right up to date with very modern touches. Underfloor heating is provided by a ground source heat pump, there is a small kitchen and toilet facilities (including disabled toilet) and WiFi is available.

Alderwasley Village Hall is a community facility fully fit for the 21st century.

The hall is available for private hire. See the hire page
