The 16th century building is heated by a deep ground source heat pump
During the re-construction 90 cm of insulation made from the waste products of a Humberside power station was used under the floor
The screed for the floor was made of pulverised rubber and glass
Traditional lime mortar was used for the stonework and lime render for the walls
We recycle as much waste as possible and encourage users to do the same
Where possible we use our own china plates and metal cutlery. We avoid all plastic cutlery and plates
For outdoor events we use compostable plates and glasses and wooden cutlery
